Our Faculty

Learn From the World's Finest Ballet Artists

The faculty of the Intensive Ballet Masterclass 2026 represents the highest calibre of classical and contemporary ballet artistry. Ten distinguished artists — principal dancers, soloists and respected pedagogues from the Vienna State Ballet and leading international companies — come together in Vienna for one week to teach, demonstrate and mentor the next generation of dancers. Each faculty member brings a unique artistic lineage and a personal teaching philosophy, ensuring that every participant receives a rich, multifaceted education.

Artists of the Vienna State Ballet and Beyond

Our faculty includes artists who have built their careers on the most celebrated stages in the world. They have performed principal roles in the classical and neoclassical repertoire, collaborated with leading choreographers, and dedicated themselves to the art of teaching. Their presence at the Masterclass offers participants an unparalleled opportunity to experience the standards, discipline and artistry that define professional ballet at the highest level.

Each artist leads specialised classes in their areas of expertise — from classical ballet technique and pointe work to repertoire and variation, pas de deux, and contemporary movement. This breadth of disciplines, delivered by true masters of each field, is what distinguishes the Vienna Masterclass from an ordinary summer course.

Individual Coaching and Personal Feedback

Class sizes are intentionally small, and every masterclass includes individual corrections and personal feedback. Faculty members observe each dancer closely, offering guidance tailored to their physical abilities, artistic temperament and personal goals. This level of individual attention — rare in large-scale courses — is at the heart of the Masterclass philosophy.

In addition to group classes, every participant may book private individual lessons with the faculty artist of their choice. These one-to-one sessions allow for focused work on technique, competition variations, pointe work, or artistic interpretation in a way that simply is not possible in a group setting.

A Bridge Between Training and the Profession

For pre-professional and advanced dancers, the Masterclass serves as a genuine bridge between years of training and a professional career. Direct contact with working artists provides insight into the expectations, discipline and artistry of the profession. Many of our faculty are themselves involved in auditions and company decisions, and the relationships formed during the week can open doors for dedicated dancers.
